About this airport
Varna Airport (VAR) is the main gateway to Bulgaria's northern Black Sea coast, about 8 kilometres from the city and roughly 15 minutes away by private car. Because most summer arrivals continue to the resorts, a pre-booked transfer with a driver waiting at the terminal is the smoothest way to start a holiday, with bags straight into the car.
