About this airport
Esenboğa International Airport (ESB) is the gateway to the Turkish capital, about 26 kilometres north of Ankara and roughly 29 minutes away by private car on the airport motorway. As a city of government, embassies and universities rather than mass tourism, Ankara sees mostly business and official arrivals, and a driver waiting inside the terminal takes the direct route into town.
